Hello dear knitting friend!

Thank you for choosing sustainable knitwear made from 55% organic wool and 45% organic cotton. To make sure you enjoy your knitwear for as long as possible, please wash it as rarely as possible. Wool has a self-cleaning property and therefore rarely needs to be washed. We therefore recommend that you simply air your clothes.

But if you want to wash your new knitwear, here are some tips for hand washing:

1. Preparation:

   • Fill a clean, large bowl or the sink with lukewarm water.
   • Use a mild, ecological detergent that is suitable for wool.

2. Soaking:

   • Carefully dip the knitted items into the water and leave them to soak for about 5-10 minutes. This will loosen any dirt.

3. Washing:

   • Rub the garments gently with your hands. Avoid rubbing or twisting too hard so as not to damage the fibers.
   • Concentrate particularly on areas with stains or soiling.

4. Rinse out:

   • Empty the bowl or sink and fill it with fresh clean water.
   • Rinse the knitwear several times until there are no more detergent residues.

5. Drying:

   • Carefully squeeze excess water out of the garments without wringing.
   • Spread the knitted items out on a clean towel and roll them up to absorb excess moisture.
   • Lay the clothes flat on another towel and allow them to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
